On your device, open up the Start menu and navigate to Messaging.Select New Email Account.
Enter in your complete Email Address, (username@gmu.edu).
Then Deselect Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet.
Select Next.
Type your FirstName and Last Name.For Account display name, Type Gmu Mail.
Select Next.
For Incoming Server, type mail.gmu.edu.
For Account Type, Select IMAP4 from the drop down menu.
Select Next.
For User name, Type your Mason E-mail Username.
For Password, Type your Mason E-mail Password.
Select Next.
For Outgoing (SMTP) mail server, Type smtp.gmu.edu.
Check the box marked Outgoing server requires authentication.
Check the box marked Use the same user name and password for sending email.
Select Advance Server Settings.
Check the box marked Require SSL for Incoming e-mail.
Check the box marked Require SSL for Outgoing e-mail.
Select Done, thenselect Next.
For Automatic Send/Receive, Select the appropriate time interval you would like to have email synched with your device from the drop down menu.Select Finish
